BML Board of Directors: Available position
The Blue Mountain Lake Club Board has an available position due to the resignation of Secretary, Claire Miller who is relocating.
The BML Board of Directors would like to extend an invitation to all members in good standing whom may be interested in serving on the Board and filling this vacant seat. Once appointed as per the governing documents, the term of service will run until the annual meeting election of November 2019.
The primary role of a BML Board is to protect, enhance and maintain the Association. This doesn’t just mean approving the budget, but also developing and enforcing policies. Board members are required to step outside their immediate circle of family and neighbors and make decisions based on the greater good of the community.
As a BMLC board member, you will need to devote at least several hours of your time each month to Association business. In addition to regular board meetings (which are held on the second Saturday of each month beginning at 9:00 am), you will need to be active in email discussions and occasional special meetings.
Perhaps you were thinking of running for the Board but just not sure if this type of volunteer position was right for you? This is a great way to give it a trial run.
If you are interested, please submit your letter of interest along with a completed Candidate Resume form (BML Board Candidate Form) or by contacting Laurie Gonzalez, Community Manager, at 570-421-2129 or via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. All letters of interest and resumes are due no later than May 1, 2019.
