Good morning everyone,
I know that most (probably many) of you are without power. Met-Ed’s response, at the moment, is that there was equipment damage and additional crews have been requested and the estimated date they are providing for power to be back on is March 7th! Until power is restored, the Office will be closed. I will be working remotely and will be available through the after-hours answering service should you have an urgent matter.
Greg Decker, Facilities Manager, is on site this morning and working at getting a tree company in as soon as possible to have the trees removed from across many community roads. The snow plow contractor (Erb’s) will also be on site shortly to provide any final clean up necessary and to aid with the tree removal. I will be onsite later this morning to access the community and see if there is any assistance I can provide.
I have been in contact with local area hotels to see if I can secure a discounted rate for Blue Mountain Lake residents and am awaiting call backs from the managers. Unfortunately, many are currently sold out.
Please know that we are doing all we can and will continue to be in contact with the community through email blasts and website postings as we receive updates.
